Just came back from Leader's meeting, during the session itself. Pastor Dan shared with us on Acts 1:20 About Judas office being taken over by Matthias
In this context, it is telling us that none of the leaders are indispensable. God can always raise someone else to take over the office. As for Judas, it was a choice that he have made i.e. he gave up the apostleship.
Was mediating on this topic, in fact many are called but few were chosen. Many a times we think of serving God or in ministry. The truth of the matter is when you are faithful in doing what you are tasked to do. You are serving God. Every one of us are called according to their own Some apostle, pastors, teachers, bankers, engineers etc.
Above all, I believe God have called me into the youth ministry. That is my calling and I know HIS Grace that is on me is not in vain. However, I have entertained thoughts to move out of this youth ministry to go somewhere else. Praise Jesus that he is still faithful when I am faithless. =)
LOVE
The bible says in John 3:16 God so love the world that he gave us his only begotten Son.
Can any man follow the footsteps of God, the bible mention about Abraham offering Isaac on the altar. When the thought is being establish in the heart, God sees it as done. That’s so unlikely of man. Man tends to see the outward action before they believe.
Man's love is conditional; one Brother was sharing with me. When a person truly Love someone, they will be willing to let them go. Sounds irony in humanistic approach. When someone love a person, they would want to spend most of their time with that individual. However in real Life, drama exist. i.e. When you really Love someone, you are willing to let them go. It is not easy for that individual, especially when you felt that you are being misunderstood after the process. Drawing up of guidelines, protocol to the point you may feel stuck. None the less, the CLEAR communication has been established. =Þ What is man's love compare to the magnificent LOVE of God.
Jeremiah 31:3 The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying:"Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with loving kindness I have drawn you.
Ps 37:23-24 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
