Tennis Match

Ermm..

Had a challenging day today, of which I would descibe it in a simple term relating to a Tennis Match. As the name mention, this game require 2 players. Players would serve and try to score into the opponent courts.

One of the key equipment is a TENNIS ball, imagine if your opponent served you a Tennis ball that is made in white color. I believe the default color is green. Would you hold on to that ball and check with the referee if this game can be proceed with a different kind of color ball.

Had a account opening today, which the Relationship Manager handed me the documents, wanted the account number to be out. In this case, the Ball is WHITE in color. Therefore, I would need to check with the Referee, which is my Legal department if I can proceed playing with a WHITE tennis ball.

Due to the urgency, the oppponet wanted this game to be start asap. While my role as a player, I would need to know if I can proceed with this game. The documents was handed to me by 11.30pm, as the Legal personal is quite packed on her side. We only manage to confirm the game at 5.17pm.

Referee mention that this game can be played, but we would need to have the WHITE ball dipped into green paint. After the opponent know that we could play with the WHITE ball. He question me asking why didn't I proceed with the Game in terms of generating the account number.

In this case, I was indirectly blame for not playing the game when the ball was pass over to me. How could I played this game if the Referee decided that a WHITE ball could not be used. Was place in a difficult position, non the less. God's favor is still on ME.

Psalm 73:26

My flesh and my heart fail;
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever

REST

Resting in the Lord, felt so refreshing when Pastor Prince was preaching on it today. Certain things just struck my mind while preaching. Plus the fact that today is the recuitment day for Main Church Royal Stewards. The teaser was, 'Why do we served?' and the answer to it was ' Because we are Loved'. It is so simple yet profound in certain ways.

Recently one of my colleague spoke to me regards of my church involvement. She was telling me that I should not be so involve in ministry to the point, I do not have time for myself. Practically every weekend, I am packed with ministry stuff.

As I am currently serving in 2 ministry. When there is DARE service, I would be joining my servers at 12.30pm to setup the place. By the time the service ends, I would be fellowshipping with the leaders. Sunday would almost be a full day for myself. Normally I would reach church around 12 plus and leave around 7pm. The longest hours that I have ever stayed was from 7.30am till 7.30pm.

Some how, quite a number of church members thought that I am Serving FULL TIME in Church. I take it as an honor that people mention it but I never have thought of going to FULL TIME, as I know that is not my call. But I do asked God to give me the strength to perform as one.

I believe that Prayer was answered one way or another, besides that I know of servers whom really served 4 services every sunday. You might asked, where did these peoples get their energy from. It is only Purely by Grace and through the finished work of Christ. I heard of servers from other churches got burned out through serving. I believe at certain point of their serving, they begin to look at what they have and give without being filled by God. After a long process of giving without drawing, the Phyiscal man would just give out trying and forgo it.

However, when you realise the potential of the Grace of God, you would labour much more. With it comes the STRENGTH to serve. Back to the REST, personally, there are tasked that I need to look into. At times, I felt as if i am covering about 3 person work load. That causes me to lose sight of the Love of God. We could just focus on the doing and forget about what we are doing it.

Recently I am reviewing on my serving capacity, I do felt that I need to focus on the Love of God for me. Not on what I have to give but RESTING in his Love and spending time with him. The very fact that encourage me to serve in these capacity. Is when I see the smiles on the youth's face, knowing that Jesus is so dear and real in their life.

That makes all my serving worth it. =) One thing I am sure, God would take care of ME. Hallelujah =)

Praise Jesus, Thank God for MONDAY for he will see me through my work for the week.
